In fact, it is a requirement of every licensed establishment to clearly display the prices of their alcoholic drinks so I would suggest he contacts Trading Standards and reports the shysters. Simon Middleton, Newport Pagnell, 11 April, 2006 well me and my cat have enjoyed gazing at ur menue cheryl stone, pea hed (we live near matthew), 25 March, 2006 I have been reading the reviews of the Silk Route restaurant in Sol Central and am astounded by the high ratings. A friend and I went for lunch the other day and I can honestly say I have never eaten such poor quality Indian food. Firstly, we ordered two pints of Coke which we were not informed was almost undrinkable Virgin cola and for which we were later outraged to find we had been stung £3 each for! Next arrived the poppadums which were mini ones out of a packet. these would have been unpleasant enough if it weren't for the glutinous, sweet and totally inedible chutneys which accompanied them. I'm sure that the starters would be more substantial of an evening but I am just glad i did not pay full price for the samples that we had of uninspiring blandness. The main meals that my friend and I shared were in a similar, if not identical, generic-supermarket's-own-tasting sauce which was by no means fresh. The one thing that set the sauces apart was the addition of pickled onions (yes, actual silver-skin onions!) to one of the sauces. I can only say that this was dreadfully ill-conceived. Considering the fact that we had to keep our coats on as it was so cold and that the waiter was clearly put out when we requested a lunch menu, this was overall a dire experience and I would advise people to avoid it at all cost. charlotte , northampton, 18 March, 2006 ur fun stuff with best indian chz, essex, 21 January, 2006 When is the mumbai dreams openning? the sign has been up their for nearly a year. I heard that the health standards said it is not suitable for people and that they found a couple of dead rats there. Alex McKinley, Northampton, 19 January, 2006 Purple Mango has good quality of food and is served by fair and friendly people thanks! Ray Poundes, Milton Keynes, 17 January, 2006 I'd like to submit a warning about the Bilash on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton. They have a "2 for 1 starter and main course" offer on at the moment, Sunday to Thursday. Read full story... Ed Jakeman, Northampton, 07 December, 2005 | ||||||||||
