It's rare for me to actually bother writing a review about any restaurant, but I was so impressed with Blue Moon that here I am tapping away. OK, so why is Blue Moon better than your average Indian. I would say it is inspired, both in terms of the modern chilled decor and in terms of the innovative menu. I get so bored of the same old dishes on every menu around the country - Blue Moon had many of the classics, but also had a selection of much more innovative recipes, some of them almost fusion. I am vegan and my wife veggie with a nut allergy and they had no issues modifying the dishes for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is a wide selection of non alcoholic cocktails which were also scrummy. The restaurant is not licensed, so you can also bring your own booze, so why get stung at the champagne bar at Cardomon City, when you can pick up a bottle of bubbly from the shops and have it all to yourself! I did feel like a few people abused their hospitality by bringing in soft drinks, when there is such an excellent selection - they do have a business to run. The only reason it didn't get 10 / 10 was because there is smoking throughout - roll on the smoking ban! I'd highly recommend Blue Moon for an Indian with a difference, especially if you are vegetarian.

John rated this 8 out of 10.
