Ok, so one time I went to Imran's in 1999 when I first moved to Northampton. After that I have only ever been to another Indian restaurant three times, and one of those times was because Imran's couldn't seat us because I forgot to book. I can remember when they had garden furniture there and the lighting fixtures were not installed properly. I have had many favourite dishes, notably the Lamb Bengal and the Makhon, however the Imran Special and the Nawab stand out a little. I have probably been well over 150 times. One week I went six times on the trot and began to smell like Imran's. I was sweating curry literally. Whilst living in Northampton I lived in several houses and always a major consideration was how far Imran's was from the home. As far as I am concerned you can keep Brick lane and your Curry mile. Imran's is the best curry house I have ever been to and I no longer need to go anywhere else. Few true gems are rarely found and who would have suspected it in such a sh*t town. However Imran's truly is The Balti hut and I do hope it never changes. I will be going there this evening upon my return to Northampton and I cannot wait.
